Princess Naomi

I think it is cool how little kids develop a personality so early on and discover what they like. Naomi was introduced to the Disney princess movies, not really thinking how that would impact her, but wow boy has it ever! Everything has to be about princesses, Cinderella is her favorite and she can recite the whole movie and act it out. Several times during the day Naomi wants me too put on the "slipper" on her foot and then call her princess, and then she will twirl away dancing and singing. And this morning it made it all worth it, after watching these disney movies for the 100th time, after giving naomi her breakfast naomi said to me , "thank you your Majesty" and then she bowed to me!!!! I thought Wow that was Awesome, she knows who the Queen is in this house. :)

I might have to go against my moral toy rule, "NO Barbies" because daddy brought home a barbie princess movie and now barbie can do no wrong. I never liked these things growing up so i guess i need to just let naomi be who she wants and if she wants to be a ballerina like the creepy barbie computer generated cartoons, then so be it! She still will play sports too, hehehehe!

We love our dancing and singing princess Naomi!

Our Kitty!

Wow, how time flies when you are having fun! And we have been, our daughter Naomi Ann Keolani Gray will be 3 on February 17. She is such a delight to be with, I am so glad to be her mother. She is our little diva with an attitude like her mommy and a temper like her daddy. We love her so much and she has grown to be such a smart, tough, caring and thoughtful little girl. We love you Naomi and Happy Christmas! Find joy in your children!!!!

happy holidays!

well, I hate the cold and the mushy snow that leaves huge puddles that never go away, I hate the crowds and parking traffic and all the noise and pressure of spending money for christmas cheer, (buy this and that, get in now for it won't be on sale later!) I hate the sniffles and the cries of too much FUN! I hate the long lines and no more money, and the hustle and bustle of the holidays. We want to be relaxing on the sand with flip flops and a smoothie in hand, feeling thankful for what we have and being so grateful for the true meaning of Christmas! Well, I hope you don't get stuck in traffic, and I hope you find what you need, I hope you all get to see family and friends close to you, and I hope there is laughter and smiles all year round, but most of all I hope to at least wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Love,
Lori, Naomi and Tommy

Puerto Rico August 2007

Puerto Rico was a hidden treasure for us. We loved the country. the beaches are beautiful and the sand is like brown sugar. Naomi could play in the soft sugar sand all day, even though it stuck too places you didn't want sand to stick, we looked forward everyday lying in the sand at our hotels private beach. Old San Juan was like a trip to the movie sets of "The Pirates of the Carribean". The Old forts of old San Juan were Amazing from Christopher Colombus time (early 1400's) , El Morro is a definite see! The old blue cobble stone streets were like a picture perfect land from Disneyland and the Cafe Germain was a pleasant surprise in the middle of this very old town. Mango salads and chicken pita with sodas from a glass bottle was refreshing. The quante little cafe surrounding new renevated apartments were delightful. The colorful buildings were a Carribean travel advertisement. Naomi was having fun with her fresh fruit salad and pita bread. She enjoyed the kite flying on the grassy fields of El Morro and Daddy rolling down the hills with the local kids. She liked the small passage ways in the fort. But, then the heat kicked in and the humidity and the long day was showing and naomi began to cry, but a rehreshing mango drink from the street cheered her up and she had a smile again. I think after the tour of the El Morro and the yummy cool cafe, we were ready to get back to the hotel for a nap and a swim in the pool. The pool was Awesome, there was a kiddie size pool, toddler size perfect for naomi, the Old San Juan Marriott Hotel was a perfect vacation for the Gray family. Next year hopefully the Bahammas at the Hotel Atlantis!

my new obsession

I love the exciting and forbidden novels by Stephenie Meyer, the Twilight series. You have to read them, I have never been so intrigued and entertained, except for the harry potter world, but twilight books put me under a spell and i am still magically intertwined with these characters and their story, these books are like an addictive drug, read it I know you will love it.

Life is good....at the moment.

I love my new job. I work from home as a reservationist for a great airline, Jetblue Airways. I have great flying benefits and a good PT job for a company I believe in.

I have to say "The Gray's" are doing well lately. Tommy was promoted at work and my daughter is learning and speaking well, and is so much fun to be around. Naomi is 2 and is so polite, she loves to say thankyou, please, and I am sorry. She is such a considerate 2 year old. I will say life is good right now. We love our neighbors and our ward. We have been able to do alot of traveling. We will be going to Aruba in August. We are very excited about that trip. I am grateful for what we have and for the good friends and family that are in our lives. We love each other and we are trying to better ourselves. WE feel blessed! Thanks for being apart of our lives.

Wicked

I just had the chance to see Wicked, the musical in LA last night. WOW!!!! is what I have been saying since last night. The music and the words, the actors and the wonderful creative characters, sets and company was worth every penny. I went with my parents last night and we had really good seats. I have been looking forward to seeing Wicked for a long time. These actors were funny and BOY could they sing! Elphy had an amazing voice as well as Galinda. They were so enjoyable! I think I really enjoyed this better then Les Mis or Phantom. This is a must SEE! FYI, when you leave the Pantages theater, exit the far left east of the building and you can meet the actors and get their autographs outside.

I love musicals they are so powerful and just make you feel like... wow you are apart of something great. These actors really pull the audience in and make you feel apart of their "ride" experience. It is a roller-coaster of perfect pitches amd harmonies. This is a must see, go!

as a little child

Lately I have really understood the meaning of becoming as a little child. When Jesus commanded us to become as little children, I think I know what he means. Children are so loving and forgiving and accepting and friendly, and I could go on and on about the positive role models children can be. My daughter is so loving and happy and energetic and wants to feel loved and safe and feel peace. Sometimes when my husband and I get into an arguement and our vocies get louder, she says, No No No, shshsh. Be still, I feel she is trying to tell us. I know we are not perfect parents and we might have a tiff here and there, but she knows that it is not necesarry to argue or raise our voice or be hard/rude or mean to another person. We need to try and become like our children. Children are perfect to a certain age and understanding. I love it when my daughter tries to help me and tries to tell me she loves me and hugs me and gives me kisses at anytime. Why can't we as adults be more willing to forgive quicker and to be more kind and loving and willing to talk to complete strangers by saying hello or smiling more. Children are the reason for this strong message, love one another as I have loved you.
