"Daddy you are Crazy"! Instead of Holy cow, she says "Holy ROCK"! If I say "yeah me too", she will say, " ya me three". She likes to copy me when I am on my phone and when I am having a conversation with Tommy- so if I seem cross, she will say, " Daddy you are in a time OUT"! I usually let her get away with that one, hahaha! ;)
She still says the kitchen is "chicken". She calls Leilani, "Me"lani.
-out of the blue, she will say, " that is sooo weird".
And the other day, Tommy wanted her to go somewhere with him, she was laying on our bed watching her movie and she said, " Daddy I QUIT"! We knew then she was tired. ;)
She calls her bum her "bump". And when I am nursing Leilani, Naomi calls "them", my pointers! hahahahaha! ;)
I love my Naomi Ann Keolani.

Brady Bunch
So lately Naomi wants to watch "The Brady Bunch" at 6pm on the BYU channel. So we have been watching it together, and even though I have already seen most of the episodes, it is a good nap time for me on the couch. Sometimes I will hear her giggle at the show, and other times she just sits quietly and watches and really observes the show. So I have been contemplating if I should let her watch this weird 70's show that I watched as a child, and still can't believe it is still on the air. It is a silly show and the family can get annoying. But today I could not stop laughing...Naomi was making fun of the show, she was copying what they said and making funny faces as if she knows this show is so unrealistic and quite stupid. She was saying mommy what is going on with all the boys and girls, and I said exactly...what is going on with all the boys and girls...hahahaha! It was a classic naomi observation, she is so smart and knows what is going on in life, sometimes I think wow I have a really mature 3 year old.

Obama
Well... are new president has been chosen, and I will respect the decision of the American people. I am excited to see how he lives up to his promises and does evaluate our country and makes change where needed. I will say- having some "soul" power in the white house will be fun, maybe some James Brown, or the Temptations playing in the surround sound in the white house would be a nice change. Having a new national anthem maybe, " Cause were Movin on up, to the east side...to a big apartment in the skyyyyy." Movin on up...Maybe he can bring back the Supreme's or straighten out Michael Jackson-(what is up with MJ anyways). I really would like to bring back tapes and vhs, I hate DVD's...one scratch and the movie or cd is ruined! I did enjoy his acceptance speech, I thought he was gracious, humbled, and respected McCain. Anyways...just excited about the "change", that is going to happen! We will see...

Twilight GRADE B
Lori's movie Review...Twilight
I enjoyed this movie, as I enjoyed all the books. I laughed and was intrigued by the world of vampires and werewolves. It is what it is, for what it was. I wasn't expecting an Oscar performance, it was like watching a long music video. Jasper was a riot, I didn't believe he was in pain from all the human blood around him, maybe more constipated then anything. Jacob's hair was kind of annoying, who ever was the makeup artist needed to fix that unrealistic hairdo (wig). The white faces on the Cullen family and red lips was a bit cheesy. I loved the actress playing Alice, she was great and exactly who I imagined from the book. However, Rosalie was not! She wasn't in my mind the most beautiful woman in the world and she looked like a modern Latina girl, mid 20's with a bad blonde job from L.A. They missed that boat. I enjoyed Edward and Bella, I thought they did a good job. The actress playing Bella was a right on pick. Edward was handsome and he did a good job playing a vampire, the forest scene was fun. Dr. Cullen and his wife was a good choice for the actors and I wanted to see more of them. I also wanted more of the school scenes with Edward "hand in hand" with Bella. I thought Jacob's scenes were jipped, he should of had more scenes from the book in the movie. But, I am really excited for the second movie. I give this movie a "B" for "Bella" in my grade book!

happy happy halloween!
Well, my daughter Naomi came home early from trick or treating and said her tummy hurt, and we didn't listen. After mommy took her around the block and daddy for the second time, we should have listened, we came home and she threw up all over herself. I guess the build up of the day and excitement and probably the fifth tootsie roll, things caught up to her and she let it all out over her blue fairy dress. Well, she fell asleep quickly and now she knows the meaning of too much candy will give u a tummy ache and will make you sick. Moral of the story, Daddy and Mommy wanted more candy? NO! We needed to listen to our 3 yr old. She had a lot of fun, but she knew when to quit T or T, and we didn't listen.;( Poor Naomi!
Through the first 3 Halloween years...
First yr- bumble bee
second yr- pink princess/ cinderella
third yr- tinker bell/ blue pixie fairy ( but she didn't want to wear her wings tonight)

here she is Miss Samoa...
A Star is Born! Leilani weighed 8lbs 2oz, 21 in long, and our sweet baby girl arrived Wed Oct 22 at 9:54pm! We are so proud of our new arrival. It was a long day on Wed 10/22, we checked in the hospital at 630am and I was induced. It was a long wait till I was ready, my contractions were good through-out the day, and the baby looked really good too. I was fine and felt ready, except when it was time for my epideral, which really hurt! But, it was better then feeling the contractions all day. I was finally dialated to a 4, 8hrs later the doctor broke my water and things started to happen really fast. I only had to push less then 20 min and Leilani was out. Tommy cut the cord and he and my mother were a huge help all day. She is so beautiful, we love her and we are so glad she is here and healthy. Naomi was at the hospital waiting with Pappa, she woke up to meet Leilani and smiled. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers.

funny things naomi says
Her preschool teacher asked her, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Naomi looked at her weird and said, "Still a Girl"! The teacher said she had this look on her face like, duh! :)
She also told Miss Merlene, that I already had the baby on Tues and we named her Cali. mmmm? I wish I had her already! and Cali is cute, but we never said that.
Naomi still likes to call the kitchen-"chicken".
Naomi also wants to name the baby Talula. or Lelo. or Stitch.
She says the baby can come out and play with her toys.
She call herself "Nomi".
I am the Queen on most days and Daddy is the King and she is the princess.
Tommy teaches her some Samoan also, but these are the ones she remembers...

little treasures from Naomi
Naomi likes to bring me something anytime she is away from me. If she is with Daddy on a walk, or gone to the store or just outside for a few min, she always brings me a gift. A stick, leaf, rock, flower, dried up dead fruit, or an unripen fruit. Lately she likes to collect rocks, big rocks, so I have rocks in my home, I have tripped over some of them too. She always loves to bring me flowers too. When she would visit a friend in their home she would also come home with a present for me, a marble, a small toy, or something weird she thinks is beautiful! So one day in Cali at the beach, Naomi actually found a treasure, a complete shell, not broken, which is hard to find, I was excited for her, it was a perfect clam shell. After playing with it for awhile, she thought it wasn't so perfect, so she broke it and threw it back in the ocean. I love my "nomi", she is my little treasure!

Leilani Amoe
Aloha! Well the time is almost near, I am due Oct 27, but will probably be induced on the 22. We decided on a name, my grandmothers name and my Tutu Lady's middle name, Leilani Amoe. In Hawaiian it means heavenly child, royal child, and/or heavenly blossom. We love it and I think my grandmother would be proud! I think we might call her Lani for short. Counting down! She will have the same initials as me too.

School for Naomi Ann/ I guess summer is over...
My 3yr old daughter started pre-school today. I was so excited for her. Naomi has been asking to go to school for a month now. So I knew she would be ready. She was already to go at 730am this morning. School starts at 9am, so we had some time to waste. We were there early and she could hardly wait to see her teacher and meet new friends. She was so cute with her back pack looking all grown up. I was happy for her! I guess my baby is all grown up. Her teacher is Miss Merlene, and she attends twice a week. Way to go Naomi! Mommy and Daddy are so proud!

Due halloween!
We are expecting a baby girl near Halloween! We are so excited for Naomi to have a sister. Naomi is very excited too. She tells my belly she loves the baby and says to others pointing at my belly this is my "brothersister". She knows it is a girl but she has to say brothersister together. I think she will be a great help to me and a darling big sister. She is so motherly to her cousins and her friends.
Naomi loves to go to church and nursery. She loves to see her friends. We have been swimming alot, she enjoys the water and playing with her daddy at the pool. She loves to talk to G'ma and Pappa on the phone. We love her energy and fun, sweet personality!
